This quiz is adapted from this Google form quiz, but has sources added.

Following are a few statements, some made by prominent Nazi Germans about Jews, others made by Israeli and pro-Israeli Zionists about Palestinians. Can you guess which is which?

Since the quote in question could be about either Jews or Palestinians, the name of the group will be replaced with "[group]." There will be other similar context-dependent replacements.

1. "The [group] have no right to claim equality with us. If they wish to speak on the streets, in lines outside shops, or in public transportation, they should be ignored, not only because they are simply wrong, but because they are [group] who have no right to a voice in the community."

A song sung by schoolchildren in one of Israel's illegal West Bank settlements, in footage for a 1994 British TV documentary on Baruch Goldstein. Goldstein carried out the 1994 Cave of the Patriarchs massacre, in which 29 Palestinian worshippers were murdered.



5. "They will get no food, no water, no fuel, everything will be closed. We are fighting against human animals and will act accordingly."

Yoav Gallant, Israel's minister of defense, on the Israeli ground invasion of Gaza on October 9, 2023. The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court states that intentionally starving civilians by "depriving them of objects indispensable to their survival, including willfully impeding relief supplies," is a war crime.



6. "What's so horrifying about understanding that the [entire group] is the enemy?"

Ayelet Shaked, former Israeli Minister of Justice, quoting Uri Elitzur in a 2014 Facebook post days before the kidnapping and murder of 16-year-old Palestinian Mohammed Abu Khdeir. Elitzur is a journalist and one of Benjamin Netanyahu's former associates. Shaked's post received thousands of likes before it was taken down.



7. "The [group] always lives from the blood of other peoples, he needs such murders. The victory will only be entirely and finally achieved when the whole world is free of [group]."

Ezra Yachin, brought in official IDF vehicles to give a pep talk to Israeli solders before Israel's 2023 ground invasion of Gaza. 95-year-old Yechin is also a veteran of the Deir Yessin massacre, one of the most horrific crimes during the Nakba.
